See-Through

See-Through

Valentina Cano

A girl dropped a coin
by the train tracks.
She leaned over,
a stork-like movement
that showed her years
pressing through like an image
under tracing paper.
I saw what she’d be like in decades.
Time traveling by the tracks,
I watched as someone ripped back pages,
shedding youth like snake skin.
